Emma is HOME!

Emma made it home today!  yay!  She finally started eating again and has been sent home to finish recovering.  :)

Prayers for Emma

Our sweet friend Emma is at Vandy Children's.  H1N1 was confirmed earlier this week and now she has pneumonia.  They are "just waiting it out" and have said that they don't need anything right now.  Please keep Emma and Amy and Greg in your thoughts and prayers.

Has Anybody Thought About Trying a Consignment Sale Fundraiser?

Brewer's Best Buddies is coming up soon, and Amanda took some time to answer interview questions for my blog. For those of you who haven't heard, Brewer's Best Buddies is a consignment sale in Columbia that Amanda created as a way to donate to Best Buddies, Tennessee. Here's the link:

It's a ton of work, but it seems like a great fundraiser if you have Amanda's energy! It can be done for any charity, but if any of you are involved with Best Buddies or Special Olympics at a school you have a ready made volunteer base in the school's club, plus the opportunity for free location if you schedule the gym or cafeteria far enough in advance, and the chance to invite the whole school to consign - might be worth considering! You might even be able to borrow fixtures from some of the others consignment sales since this is for a good cause.

If anyone makes it to Amanda's sale, I need a pair of girl's rainboots, size 5/6 or 6/7 and one of those magnetic puzzles that the kids use a fishing pole to move around the pieces.
