Has Anybody Thought About Trying a Consignment Sale Fundraiser?

Brewer's Best Buddies is coming up soon, and Amanda took some time to answer interview questions for my blog. For those of you who haven't heard, Brewer's Best Buddies is a consignment sale in Columbia that Amanda created as a way to donate to Best Buddies, Tennessee. Here's the link:

It's a ton of work, but it seems like a great fundraiser if you have Amanda's energy! It can be done for any charity, but if any of you are involved with Best Buddies or Special Olympics at a school you have a ready made volunteer base in the school's club, plus the opportunity for free location if you schedule the gym or cafeteria far enough in advance, and the chance to invite the whole school to consign - might be worth considering! You might even be able to borrow fixtures from some of the others consignment sales since this is for a good cause.

If anyone makes it to Amanda's sale, I need a pair of girl's rainboots, size 5/6 or 6/7 and one of those magnetic puzzles that the kids use a fishing pole to move around the pieces.

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great valentines day. I just wanted to let everyone know that Carter is Having his two surgeries on Friday Febuary 26th. They will be opening his Tear ducts and Putting tubes in his ears. I hope it goes well. Hope you all have a great time at Mom's night I won't be able to make it we are headed to Clarksville to visit with my in-laws. Have a great weekend!

Also in March my great friend Dawn's Daughter Bella is having her open heart surgery. Please pray for little Bella. I'm trying to get Dawn to come to a playdate or mom's night soon.

Brewer's Best Buddies Consignment Sale

Hello Ladies,

I need your help spreading the word so that this consignment sale will be the best sale yet! I had about 25 e-mails returned because a server could not be found. These are ladies that signed up to get information about the sale. Some of them might be your friends. So forward the flyer to all your friends with kids or grandkids so we can get everyone covered.



I know there are a few sales in the area before this one. If you are putting your items in these sales or know anyone else who is, you are welcome to try to sale your unsold items in my sale. Their pick up days are before our drop off days and you do not have retag as long as there is a number (that no one else has already told me they were using) size and price on the tag. It doesn't matter if you tag is hung the other way.



Also, I have not heard back from some of you about consigning. I would like to go ahead and put you in the system so that it won't be so crazy closer to time.



One other thing, don't forget about the new donation policy. If you don't feel like tagging or hanging your items but would love to get rid of some stuff you can donate them to Best Buddies! 100% of procedes from the donated items goes to Best Buddies Tennessee. If you donate 20 or more items you get a consignor pass the the presale! Call me or e-mail me so that we can arange a time for me to pick up you items so I will have time to hang and tag them before the sale.

Children’s Spring/Summer Consignment Sale

Does your child have too many toys, books, games and clothes? Or has your child outgrown some of these things and needs more? Consigning is a great way to get rid of these items, buy more items and make money at the same time!

Park Plus Drive is the first road on your left past Powerhouse Gym and the roller skating rink as you are drive towards Pulaski on Pulaski Hwy /31S. Park Place will be on the right at the top of the hill once you have turned onto Park Plus Drive .

Drop off Mon. 1st ( 3-6pm ) & Tues. 2nd ( 10-2pm )

Spartan Sparkles

Last fall I watched a segment on Oprah on The Sparkles cheer squad. It is a group of high school cheerleaders that started a squad including girls with special needs. As a mom of 3 girls - the youngest with DS - I cried. I had sent them an e-mail praising them for their courage and empathy. They recently sent the following e-mail to me asking to vote on http://www.refresheverything.com/sparkleeffect website so they will win $25,000 from Pepsi. You can vote every day until Feb 28th. If you have time or think of it I would LOVE for you to vote for them.
